Split

As a freelancer, you don't receive payments on a fixed date each month. You also don't know how much you will receive or how often. Since you manage your finances entirely on your own, you ideally need multiple bank accounts: for taxes, VAT, holiday pay, pension, insurance and so on. When you receive a payment, you need to calculate how much should go to each of these accounts. Spreadsheet software like Excel or Numbers makes this easier, but you still have to transfer the money between accounts manually in your bank.

With Split, you choose the percentage to be allocated to each account every time you receive money in your main account. This way, you only need to connect to your bank once, set up the distribution in Split and never think about it again. If you want to change something later, it's easy: just open the app and adjust the distribution.
