Project Summary
As a freelancer, you don't receive payments on a fixed date each month. You also don't know how much you will receive or how often. Since you manage your finances entirely on your own and are responsible for them, you ideally need multiple bank accounts: for taxes, VAT, vacation funds, pension, insurance, etc. When you receive a payment, you need to calculate how much should be allocated to each of these accounts. This can be done using accounting software like Excel or Numbers to make the process easier, but you still have to manually transfer the money between accounts in the bank. With Split, you choose the percentage to be allocated to the different accounts each time you receive money in your main account. This way, you only need to connect to your bank once, set up the distribution in Split, and never think about it again. If you want to change something later, it's super easy: just open the app and adjust the distribution.
